Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton will celebrate the reopening of Walker Family & Kathy Newcombe Park on Monday, Aug. 24, following improvements to the park.
The reopening event is scheduled for noon at the park, located at 736-798 NW Parkview Blvd.
City officials invited residents and community members to attend the celebration as the park reopens to the public following the project.
The improvements are part of a larger effort under PROPEL2040 to enhance parks and recreational spaces throughout Lawton.
The initiative includes plans to improve 32 parks across the city, with the goal of creating better spaces for families and neighborhoods.
The reopening of Walker Family & Kathy Newcombe Park represents another investment in Lawton’s public recreational facilities and the surrounding community.
Residents are encouraged to attend the Aug. 24 event and join city officials in celebrating the reopening of the park.
