Lawton police to increase traffic enforcement along Rogers Lane on July 23

Lawton, OK — The Lawton Police Department has announced it will conduct increased traffic enforcement on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, along Rogers Lane. The operation is being carried out in partnership with Oklahoma Highway Safety in an effort to promote safe driving habits.

Officers will be stationed throughout the area to monitor compliance with traffic laws, particularly the posted speed limit of 50 mph. Drivers are encouraged to buckle up, avoid distractions, and obey all road signs.

“Remember, we all share the road,” a statement from the department read. “Let’s work together to keep it safe for everyone.”

The department emphasized that the initiative is aimed at reducing accidents and protecting both drivers and pedestrians. Officials noted that visible enforcement helps reinforce the importance of responsible driving behavior in high-traffic areas.

Motorists traveling on Rogers Lane should expect an increased law enforcement presence throughout the day.
