Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department expressed gratitude to the community and Texas Roadhouse staff following a successful Tip a Cop fundraiser that raised more than $5,000 for Special Olympics athletes and their events.
Officers joined Texas Roadhouse employees at the restaurant’s new location, helping serve customers and collect donations to support Special Olympics Oklahoma.
The department shared that their officers “had an amazing time” participating in the event and thanked the staff for welcoming them and showing them the ropes.
The fundraiser was part of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to support Special Olympics programs through community partnerships and outreach.
The department also encouraged residents to stay connected for future updates and events, ending their message with, “Stay safe, Lawton Fort Sill.”
