Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department reported that inmate River Jordan was taken into custody on Saturday, Aug. 30, after leaving a work detail near the ball fields off 38th Street.
Jordan, who had been identified as a trustee, was the subject of a search after authorities said he walked away from the assignment.
Police issued a public alert asking for assistance from the community.
Officials thanked the Lawton–Fort Sill community for sharing information and helping bring the situation to a safe resolution.
