Lawton, OK – The Lawton Fire Department’s A Shift crews took advantage of rainy weather to conduct important water rescue training.
Despite the less-than-ideal conditions, firefighters focused on refining their skills to better prepare for emergency situations involving water, such as swift-water rescues or flood responses.
The department highlighted the commitment of its personnel to ongoing training and professional development, emphasizing that every day presents an opportunity to learn and improve.
This hands-on practice ensures that firefighters remain ready to protect and serve the community effectively, no matter the weather or circumstances.
In addition to the training update, the department extended warm wishes to all fathers in the community in celebration of Father’s Day, recognizing the dedication and sacrifices made by fathers both on and off duty.
