Lawton fire department celebrates success of community fire safety scavenger hunt 

Lawton, OK – The Lawton Fire Department, in partnership with the Lawton Public Library, recently hosted a Fire Safety Scavenger Hunt that brought together families and community members for a day of education and fun.

The event, held on June 2, was praised for its engaging approach to teaching fire safety skills to children and adults alike.

Organizers expressed their gratitude to a host of local sponsors and partners whose support was instrumental in the event’s success.

These included Walmart, Raising Cane’s, Texas Roadhouse, Outback Steakhouse, Chick-fil-A, Braum’s, Angela Shertle of Farmers Insurance Agency, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Lawton Public Library staff, The Breeze 99.5, and KSWO 7 News.

The scavenger hunt offered hands-on activities designed to help participants learn critical life-saving techniques in an interactive and enjoyable way.

Excitement was high as children and families moved through the challenges, reinforcing important fire safety messages in a community-centered atmosphere.

The Lawton Fire Department and Public Library both thanked everyone involved for making the event memorable and impactful, highlighting the shared commitment to safety and community engagement.
