Lawton, OK – The Lawton City Council is seeking public input on potential amendments to the Lawton City Charter, the foundational document that guides local government operations.
As part of this process, the city will hold several meetings to gather feedback before finalizing any proposed changes for the September 9, 2025 election.
The review process begins on February 21 at 10 a.m. with a special council meeting, where initial discussions on the proposed amendments will take place.
Lawton residents are invited to share their thoughts during two public input meetings. The first will be held on February 24 at 10 a.m., while the second is scheduled for March 4 at 5:30 p.m.
Both meetings provide opportunities for residents to voice their opinions and shape the future of local government.
