Governor Stitt appoints new associate district judge for Oklahoma’s Fourth Judicial District

Oklahoma – Governor Kevin Stitt announced the appointment of Sean Karl Hill as the associate district judge for Oklahoma’s Fourth Judicial District.

Hill previously served as the supervising attorney at the Garfield County District Attorney’s Office, where he trained new employees, oversaw daily operations, and handled cases involving homicides, violent crimes, and felony drug offenses.

Before that, he worked in private practice defending worker’s compensation claims and later served as an assistant attorney general in the Grand Jury Unit of the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General. He also worked as an assistant district attorney in Tulsa County.

Stitt praised Hill’s legal career, stating, “Sean Hill has dedicated his career to public service, upholding the law, and protecting Oklahomans from dangerous criminals. He was a great prosecutor, and he will be an even greater judge. Sean served his state with honor, and I’m proud to appoint him to the bench.”

Hill expressed gratitude for the appointment, saying, “As an associate district judge, I will follow the law, safeguard the rights of all appearing before me, and see justice carried out. I am honored by the trust Governor Stitt has placed in me and look forward to serving my state in this new capacity.”

A graduate of Oklahoma State University in 2005, Hill earned his law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2009. He and his wife, Lori, reside in Enid, Oklahoma.
