Driver identified after hit-and-run crash involving SUV and electric tricycle in Lawton 

Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department said all parties involved in a hit-and-run crash involving an SUV and an electric tricycle have been identified and accounted for following assistance from the community.

The crash occurred on Aug. 2 in the area of 17th Street and Ferris Avenue. According to police, officers responded to the scene after an SUV collided with an electric tricycle. Following the crash, the driver of the SUV left the area.

The driver of the electric tricycle was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Lawton police later confirmed the individual was in stable condition.

The department acknowledged surveillance video of the incident that was shared on social media and thanked community members who provided information and helped investigators with the case.

“Your willingness to share information has been invaluable to this investigation,” the department said.

Lawton Police Traffic Investigators confirmed that the suspect and all other parties involved have been identified. However, the investigation remains active.
