Lawton, OK – At the City Council meeting, City Manager John Ratliff recognized the Deja Vu Social & Civic Club as the Citizens of the Month for their outstanding service to the Lawton–Fort Sill community.
The Deja Vu Social & Civic Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping others through service and charitable giving. Its members work year-round to raise funds for local causes, host community events, and strengthen connections across the community.
The group supports Lawton Public Schools, homeless shelters, and other organizations in need by donating school supplies, preparing and serving meals, and restocking blessing boxes each month. They also volunteer whenever assistance is needed.
In addition to their ongoing efforts, the club has contributed part of its fundraising proceeds to the Cancer Centers of Southwestern Oklahoma, supporting vital healthcare services in the region.
Through their compassion, teamwork, and dedication to service, the members of the Deja Vu Social & Civic Club continue to make a positive impact in Lawton. City Manager Ratliff, speaking on behalf of Mayor Stan Booker, thanked the group for their example of community pride and for truly being “Some Kind of Wonderful.”
