Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton has unveiled Go Lawton, a new mobile app designed to deliver real-time updates and essential information directly to residents’ smartphones. Powered by GOGov, the free app aims to streamline communication between City Hall and the community.
“Our team is committed to ensuring Lawtonians stay informed, engaged, and empowered,” said Caitlin Gatlin, Communications & Marketing Manager.
“Transparency is the foundation of our work, and this app gives residents a new, convenient way to receive real-time updates directly from City Hall.”
Go Lawton offers push notifications for city service updates, public safety alerts, community events, and emergency information.
Officials say the app will serve as the primary platform for urgent and impactful announcements, while social media will continue to highlight feel-good stories and community engagement.
For residents who prefer text messages over app notifications, the City also offers a texting service. By texting “Join Lawton” to 31002, users can receive critical alerts directly to their phones.
The app is available for download now in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store by searching “Go Lawton.”
