All lanes of eastbound I-244 will be closed between the I-44 western split and the US-75 junction beginning Monday through summer as part of a pavement rehabilitation project

Eugene, OR – According to the ODOT officials, Eastbound I-44 motorists bound for I-244 will be able to detour using eastbound I-44 and northbound US-75.

After the eastbound lanes are completed, westbound I-244 will be closed in the same area.

Also beginning Monday, east and westbound I-244 (runs north and south) will be narrowed to two lanes in both directions between the US-75 junction and the Arkansas River bridge near Downtown Tulsa, and the westbound I-244/southbound US-75 on-ramp from Southwest Blvd. near 23rd St. will be closed.

Drivers are urged to use extra caution throughout the work zone and expect delays, especially during peak travel times.

This more than $52 million project on I-244 between I-44 and the Arkansas River will completely resurface the highway as well as rehabilitate the bridges over 31st St. and 48th St.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction between US-75 and the Arkansas River during peak travel times.
