Volunteers remove 680 pounds of trash from Numu Creek during Stream Clean Saturday in major cleanup effort 

Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton highlighted a major community cleanup effort after volunteers removed 680 pounds of litter from Numu Creek during Stream Clean Saturday.

According to the Lawton Oklahoma City Government, the event brought together community members who worked to help protect local waterways and improve environmental conditions throughout the area.

City officials thanked all participants who took part in the cleanup, noting that the combined effort made a significant impact on keeping Lawton clean and environmentally healthy.

Special recognition was given to volunteers Charles, Jordan, Jerry, Lady Luxury Lanes, and Moore Mechanical for donating their time and effort to support the initiative.

Organizers said every bag of trash collected contributes to long-term environmental protection and encouraged residents to continue participating in future cleanup events, including upcoming Stream Clean Saturday efforts.
