Lawton, OK – The Lawton Oklahoma City Government reported that Lt. Col. Alex Graf of the German Air Forcevisited Mayor Booker’s office earlier this week to deliver a gift from the city’s sister community, Güllesheim.
Officials said Graf, who is part of the Fort Sill Foreign Liaison Officer community, presented a handmade plaque featuring Güllesheim’s town seal along with the inscription “Local Municipality of Güllesheim, In Friendship.”
The visit highlighted ongoing international ties connected to Fort Sill and its foreign liaison partnerships, which connect Lawton with allied military and civic communities abroad.
City officials described the gesture as a reminder of the long-standing friendship between the communities and the broader international relationships maintained through military cooperation and cultural exchange.
