Lawton, OK – Firefighters from the Lawton Fire Department were recently recognized by MacArthur Middle School and Lawton Public Schools for their response to a roof fire at the school in January.
Crews from Stations 1, 3, and 6 responded to the incident and worked to contain the fire and protect the campus. School officials honored the firefighters with challenge coins and words of appreciation, acknowledging their efforts during the emergency.
Lawton Fire Department officials said the recognition was meaningful to the crews, noting their appreciation for the continued support and partnership from local schools and the community.
