Lawton, OK – Crews in Lawton have begun concrete repairs at the intersection of 50th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, addressing sections that had lifted and deteriorated. Work started on September 14 and is expected to be completed by October 3.
The project involves replacing several broken panels at the corner, improving safety and accessibility for motorists and pedestrians. City officials noted that these types of small improvement projects happen across Lawton on a weekly basis, often in response to citizen requests.
This particular repair was initiated through a citizen call-in and scheduled according to the City’s ongoing maintenance queue. Officials emphasized that, unless there is an immediate safety concern, requests are handled in the order they are received.
