Lawton, OK – Authorities are investigating a stabbing that took place Saturday night on the 1400 block of Southwest New York Avenue. Lawton Police Department (LPD), Memorial EMS, and Lawton Fire were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9:20 p.m. after a call was made reporting a person had been stabbed in the shoulder.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found the victim, who was quickly transported to a local hospital. The individual’s condition remains unclear at this time, and no updates have been provided regarding their status.
According to initial reports, the suspect fled the scene heading northbound. Descriptions from witnesses indicate the individual is a Black male, wearing joggers and no shirt at the time of the incident.
At least six patrol vehicles were seen on the scene, with officers conducting a search in the surrounding area for the suspect.
Lawton Police have not released additional details regarding the motive or any further developments in the case. Investigations are ongoing.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
