Lawton, OK – Two employees from the City of Lawton have been named to the Emerging Leaders 2025 list by The Lawton Constitution, an annual recognition of young professionals who are making a significant impact in their fields and communities.

Assistant Fire Chief Kyle Nyhart and Senior Accountant Kaitlin Golden were honored alongside 25 other emerging leaders across the Lawton area. Both individuals were commended for their professional excellence, civic engagement, and contributions to the city’s continued development.

Nyhart, a veteran member of the Lawton Fire Department, serves as a key leader in emergency operations and public safety initiatives. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing departmental strategy and improving response coordination across city services.

Golden, a Senior Accountant in the City of Lawton’s Finance Department, plays a crucial role in managing municipal budgets, financial planning, and fiscal accountability. Her work supports critical city functions and ensures the responsible stewardship of taxpayer funds.

City officials praised both employees for their commitment to public service and their growing influence within city government.

“Kyle and Kaitlin exemplify the qualities of strong, forward-thinking leadership,” the City of Lawton said in a statement. “Their dedication and professionalism not only strengthen our organization but also help shape the future of Lawton. We are proud to celebrate their recognition and their ongoing service to the community.”

The Emerging Leaders list is published annually to spotlight professionals under 40 who are recognized by peers and community leaders for their achievements and leadership potential.
