Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department reported a traffic accident early Tuesday morning that led to the closure of eastbound Interstate 44.
According to the department, the affected stretch runs from the Highway 7 Lee exit to the Gore Boulevard exit.
The Traffic Division is currently investigating the crash, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
Drivers traveling eastbound on I-44 are encouraged to take a detour using Lee Boulevard to bypass the closure.
