Oklahoma – Trooper Darren Alexander, OHP badge #395, is retiring after an impressive 30-year career dedicated to serving the State of Oklahoma. Trooper Alexander graduated from the 48th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy in 1995 and began his service at the Marshall County detachment of Troop E in Durant.

In early 2004, he transferred to Troop ES but returned to Troop E later that year. He served there until 2010 when Marshall County became part of Troop F in Ardmore, where he continued his service.

Throughout his career, Trooper Alexander took on additional roles including Firearms Instructor, Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics (LEDT) Instructor, and hostage negotiator, showcasing his broad expertise and commitment to law enforcement.

Outside of his professional duties, Trooper Alexander and his wife Gena have been longtime residents of Madill, where they raised their two children, Talon and Abbie. The family are active members of the First Baptist Church in Madill.

Beyond his law enforcement career, Trooper Alexander contributed to his community through service on the Marshall County EMS Board, the Madill Booster Club, and the Masonic Lodge.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol congratulates Trooper Alexander on his retirement and thanks him for his decades of dedicated service.
