Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol recently had the honor of escorting Thunderbird pilots and crew to their aircraft ahead of the Tinker Air Force Base air show.
Alongside the excitement of the event, attendees visited the #TeamTinker “Honoring Those Who Served” booth in the STEM City hangar. The booth paid tribute to the selfless service, sacrifice, and dedication of military members, sharing their stories to preserve their legacy and inspire future generations.
STEM City provided an engaging experience for students in grades K-12, featuring a variety of hands-on activities such as robotics, drone flying, flight simulation, building balsa wood planes, snap circuits, wind tunnel exploration, and more.
These activities were offered free of charge by a collaboration of state agencies, community organizations, academic institutions, and aerospace companies.
Families and visitors explored STEM City before it closed at 3 p.m., making it a highlight of the air show for young learners and enthusiasts alike.
