Lawton, OK – The Museum of the Great Plains hosted its annual Fall Encampment on Saturday, October 25, offering visitors an immersive look into frontier life.
The event featured living historians, some traveling from as far as Oregon, who demonstrated daily activities and shared stories from the era.
The event also included a special recognition for Bill Bailey, who was honored for his dedication and craftsmanship in building the museum’s new Coffee Station Trading Post.
Organizers expressed gratitude to community members who attended and supported the event, helping make the day a memorable celebration of history and heritage.
