Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton has recognized the Blackout Rucking Crew as the latest recipients of the Clean Sweep Award, a distinction given to individuals or groups who demonstrate exceptional commitment to keeping the community clean and inviting.

Representatives Chris and Ben accepted the award on behalf of the crew in recognition of their ongoing efforts along Ferris Road between 2nd and 11th Streets, where they regularly pick up litter and help maintain the area’s appearance.

Their work reflects a strong sense of community pride and public service, aligning with the city’s broader goals of beautification and civic responsibility.

“Their dedication exemplifies the spirit of community pride and service,” city officials said in a statement.
