Lawton provides debris drop-off sites and resumes bulky waste collection following flooding

Lawton, OK – In response to recent flooding, the City of Lawton’s Solid Waste Collection Division has announced support measures to assist residents with cleanup efforts. Two designated drop-off locations are now open to help citizens dispose of flood-related debris.

Residents can bring eligible items to the following locations through Friday, May 9, 2025:

  • Greer Park (Kid’s Zone) — NW 38th & Meadowbrook Drive

  • Eastside Park — 4000 East Gore Boulevard

Roll-off containers at both sites will accept items such as tree branches, yard waste, cardboard, trash, leaves, and grass clippings.

In addition to the temporary drop-off locations, Lawton will resume its regular bulky waste collection schedule as follows:

  • Area 1 — Monday, May 5

  • Area 2 — Monday, May 12

  • Area 3 — Monday, May 19

  • Area 4 — Tuesday, May 27

City officials encourage residents to take advantage of the drop-off service and to prepare for scheduled curbside pickups. The City also reminds citizens to stay informed by following official updates and enrolling in the municipal texting service by sending “Join Lawton” to 31002.

These recovery efforts are part of Lawton’s ongoing commitment to support its community during weather-related emergencies and ensure safe, clean neighborhoods.
