Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department extended its condolences to the family of Sergeant Thomas Duran and to members of the El Reno Police Department following Duran’s passing on October 24, 2025.
The El Reno Police Department announced that Sergeant Duran died at 6:38 p.m. and that he continued his service to others through organ donation, a decision that will give others a second chance at life.
Funeral arrangements will be announced once finalized. The department asked for continued prayers for Duran’s wife, children, and family as they grieve the loss of their loved one.
Members of the El Reno Police Department expressed gratitude to the community and to all who have offered prayers, condolences, and donations in support of the Duran family.
