Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department announced that the City of Lawton crews began work early Tuesday morning at the intersection of Flowermound and East Gore to transition the location to a protected-permissive left-turn system.
The project, which started at 8 a.m., was expected to continue throughout the day.
According to the department, drivers should anticipate stop-and-go traffic in the area, along with possible lane closures while crews make the necessary adjustments.
Officials asked motorists to remain cautious around city workers as they work to get the updated intersection fully operational.
