Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department reported a successful 2025 Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 98 Shop with a Cop event, crediting community support and partnerships for making the annual program possible.
Department officials thanked the many groups and sponsors who contributed to fundraising efforts throughout the year, including events such as bingo nights and bowling tournaments. Police said the event goes beyond giving back, serving as an opportunity for the community to come together in support of local children and families.
A special acknowledgment was given to Crime Stoppers of Southwest Oklahoma for a monetary donation that helped expand the program’s reach this year. Lawton Public Schools were also recognized for selecting students to participate in the event.
Officers and support staff who volunteered their time were praised for their dedication and service, with department leaders noting the positive impact their involvement had on the children involved. Target was also thanked for hosting the event and helping create a festive holiday atmosphere.
The Lawton Police Department said the combined efforts of sponsors, volunteers, and community partners helped make the holiday season brighter for participating families.
