Lawton, OK – The Lawton Fire Department welcomed homeschool families to Fire Station 8 for its first annual Homeschool Fire Safety Event, offering an interactive and educational experience focused on fire safety.
Families had the opportunity to meet firefighters, learn important safety tips, and explore what it’s like to work in the fire service.
The department expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm and curiosity shown by the children and parents who attended, noting that their excitement made the day memorable.
A special thanks was also extended to Ben & Jay’s Pizzeria for donating pizza to the crew members who helped organize the event.
The department said it looks forward to hosting the event again next year and reminded families that fire safety begins at home.
