Lawton detective recognized for dedication to Teen Court and community mentorship 

Lawton, OK – Detective Marcus Rucker of the Lawton Police Department has been honored for his long-standing commitment to Teen Court, a program that provides an alternative justice process for young offenders.

Mark Woommavovah, President and CEO of the United Way of Southwest Oklahoma, recognized Rucker for his dedication to the organization and his work with the youth of Lawton.

For more than a decade, Rucker has served as a Teen Court board member and volunteered as a bailiff. In addition to his official duties, he mentors young individuals navigating the court system, offering guidance and support while representing the Lawton Police Department in a positive light.

The Lawton Police Department expressed its pride in Rucker’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and mentorship in shaping the lives of young people.
