LAWTON, Okla. – Motorists in Lawton should expect traffic disruptions on West Gore Boulevard starting Monday, February 3, as a construction company begins maintenance work in the area.
The project will close the inside lanes of West Gore Boulevard just east of 67th Street to rebuild the median. According to city officials, while the westbound left-turn lanes will not be officially designated, they will remain usable throughout the duration of the project.
Eastbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane following the intersection, which could cause delays for commuters. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use caution while navigating through the construction zone.
Local authorities have not yet provided an estimated completion date, but they advise the public to stay alert for further updates and potential changes to traffic patterns. Alternative routes may be advisable for those looking to avoid delays.
As the work progresses, the city asks for patience and cooperation from the public to ensure the project can be completed efficiently and safely.
