Fatal Collision Outside Arapaho Claims One Life, Leaves Another Injured

Lawton, OK — A fatal crash early Tuesday morning on US-183 and East 860 Road claimed the life of a 36-year-old man, while another driver was injured. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) responded to the scene of the collision, which occurred around dawn on December 24, 2024.

According to OHP, Eric Soto, of unknown residence, was driving a Honda Accord when the crash took place. The second vehicle involved, a Chevrolet, was driven by 44-year-old Jessica W. Stewart. Soto was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.

Stewart, who was also injured in the crash, was transported to a nearby hospital in fair condition. Authorities have not disclosed the full details of the crash, and the cause remains under investigation.

The OHP continues to gather information, and it is unclear at this time whether weather conditions or other factors contributed to the tragic incident. This crash marks the latest in a series of fatalities on Oklahoma’s roads, as officials urge motorists to remain cautious and vigilant during winter months.

The identities of the individuals involved, along with further details, may be released as the investigation unfolds.
