Oklahoma – Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated an incident on the Turner Turnpike involving a large sheet of ice that detached from the top of an eastbound semi-trailer.
The ice landed in the westbound lanes, striking a vehicle and breaking through the windshield.
The driver of the vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Officials say the driver is expected to recover.
Authorities continue to remind motorists to stay alert for potential road hazards, especially during cold weather conditions that can lead to ice accumulation on vehicles.
