Lawton, OK – The City of Lawton is preparing for Trash Off 2026, scheduled for May 2 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McMahon Memorial Auditorium parking lot, as part of its annual community cleanup effort.
The event will allow Lawton residents to dispose of unwanted items free of charge with proof of residency, while non-residents may participate for a $25 fee.
City officials are also encouraging volunteer groups to take part in neighborhood cleanup efforts across the city.
Organizers say the initiative is designed to promote civic pride and improve local environments through community participation.
Residents interested in volunteering can sign up through the city’s online registration form.
