Governor Kevin Stitt expresses appreciation to state lawmakers after signing a bill updating dental insurance fee rules and claims handling, calling it an anti-price fixing measure

Oklahoma – Governor Kevin Stitt signed SB 1942 into law on Tuesday, advancing legislation related to dental insurance claim regulations in Oklahoma.

The bill, SB 1942, amends 36 O.S. 2021, Section 7301, which governs dental plan fee regulation.

The update modifies the existing definition within the statute and includes provisions affecting how dental insurance claims are structured and regulated under state law. The measure also includes an effective date as part of the enacted legislation.

In a statement shared on social media, Governor Stitt announced the signing and expressed appreciation to state lawmakers who supported the measure.

He specifically thanked Senator Thompson and Representative Moore for their work in advancing what he described as an anti-price fixing bill to his desk.

The legislation is intended to address pricing practices within dental insurance plans, according to the bill’s language, and represents part of ongoing regulatory adjustments within the state’s insurance framework.
