Lawton, OK – The Lawton Police Department expressed appreciation to the Lawton-Fort Sill community following a recent fundraising event held in support of Special Olympics athletes.
According to the department, officers participated alongside Special Olympics athletes in the “Bagging with Badges” event, which helped raise funds for upcoming Special Olympic competitions. The event brought together law enforcement and community members working side by side to support the cause.
Officials reported that more than $2,400 was raised during the event, crediting the strong turnout and participation from both officers and residents for the successful total.
The department emphasized that the effort would not have been possible without the support of the local community, thanking everyone who contributed time and donations to the fundraiser.
