Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol announced that its Impaired Driving Liaisons held 21 events across the state in December through New Year’s Eve, most of them part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
Of the events, eight were ENDUI checkpoints, while the remaining were ENDUI saturation patrols. During these operations, IDLs made 129 DUI arrests, not including additional arrests made by other troopers and law enforcement agencies.
Officials said these enforcement efforts are directly reducing intoxicated driving and making communities safer. They reminded drivers that intoxicated driving is a choice and encouraged the use of safe alternatives, including taxis and ride-share services, which are widely available.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol also thanked law enforcement partners across the state for collaborating on these events, emphasizing that teamwork helps keep everyone safer and supports a shared goal of reducing impaired driving.
